The thing that really worrys me is that once this opens all the other islands will be maintaned less and that to fall apart sad.gif IOA has been a big part of my trip when i go to universal and i don't want to see it being put very far back on the backburner for HP. Here hoping...

More than likely they will actually spruce up the other islands to impress the new crowds being drawn in. Hopefully they get that park to look like it did years ago.

If they change name of DD to dragons challenge all they have to do is put red trains on ice side and blue trains on fire side
change the sondtrack and and some Harry potter banners in the que.

Frankly, I laugh at this entire list of names. This can't be an official list. We are still a year away from this thing being anywhere near completed.

Remember how early concept art said it would be Merlin's Dueling Dragons? I take everything with a grain of salt.

I don't really like the ride names either.

The Forbidden title just makes me think of IJ Temple of the Forbidden Eye or EE Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.

A lot of Harry Potter fans will remember that before the fifth book's title was released, the names of the future books were discovered to be trademarked by Warner Brothers. The news of these trademarked book names spread very quickly and people had very mixed opinions about the titles.

It turned out that Harry Potter and the Alchemist's Cell, Harry Potter and the Pyramids of Furmat, and Harry Potter and the Chariots of Light were all fake titles....or were they? It's rumored that after the trademarks were discovered, JK Rowling wrote new titles to maintain secrecy about the plot. It's also rumored that these are titles of future books in the Harry Potter series...but that can't be true.

Even though that was a long time ago, many people have forgotten about this and every once in a while, a rumor site will treat this as completely new news.

These may not be the real ride titles or the final ride titles. The shops are no-brainers, but "Dragons Challenge" and "Forbidden Journey" could be working titles or they could go through a series of changes.

Yeah, I'm doubting Dragon Challenge is going to be the final name, for some reason. Jesus, it even reads like a placeholder.

You never know, lame sounding names have been used before on rides. Fear Factor Live anyone? (I kid) My guess is that these are somehow the real names and they'll be sprinkled up with a little flair so that they eventually sound cool.

Well what else would they name Fear Factor Live? lol "NBC'S FEAR FACTOR STUNT CHALLENGE" lol There really isn't a smart name for that one. I'm not making fun, just havin' fun.

Fear Factor The Television Show Now Live Show for Viewing Pleasure of Audience was another trademarked name.

Dragon Challenge seems kind of bland, but that's just because Dueling Dragons is a pretty good name.

I'm pretty sure Dragon Challenge will eventually become something that sounds like "The Triwizard Dragons or Triwizard Dragon Challenge"

Just like Q&T said. It sounds just TOO much like a placeholder.

The ride's name will just be now Dragons or, better known as, Double Ds.

HP will attract so many people that the other Islands will not be able to hold the overflow. All will be good.
Consider this my Prediction!

I rather like to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey name. It sounds epic. It may not be the best, but I can't think of another name that would sound as fitting for a large, expensive amusement park ride. I do not like Dragon Challenge. I don't see why it can't stay Dueling Dragons? When you think about it, it's like Harry and the other participants in the games were dueling the dragons, right? I don't think the GP would go nuts about "Wait that doesn't make sense!"

As for stupid names, trust me, I know a lot about them. My home park is this little seasonal park up here in Ohio called Kings Island (used to be Paramount's Kings Island). When Cedar Fair bought it, we experience a LOT of name-changing pain.

Top Gun: The Jet Coaster ---> Flight Deck
Drop Zone: Stunt Tower ---> The Drop Tower
FACE/OFF ---> Invertigo
The Italian Job: Stunt Track ---> Back Lot Stunt Coaster
Tomb Raider: The Ride ---> Crypt

It was painful. Still is!
